Framing

We specialise in numerous framing and mounting procedures, and go out of our way to meet the requirements of each individual client. Your imagination is the only limitation to our ability.

Custom Framing

Apart from conventional "Cut & Join" framing, Framed by ORMS has become the leader in custom framing and design, with expertise ranging from new frame design to master copying. Over the past few years, the company has perfected the DUCO spray painting technique resulting in a silky smooth colour finish on almost any surface. Top

Total Archival Framing

The fine art of archival framing has been mastered by the team at Framed by ORMS. Museum glass of the highest quality is imported from Germany. This glass is 98% UV resistant with extraordinary non-reflective properties. Mounting is done onto archival mount board as well as DiBond. Framed by ORMS has also been awarded the exclusive licence to perform the DIASEC procedure in the whole of Africa. Top

Shadow Box Framing (Up to 100mm in depth)

Shadow Box Framing is a specific framing process that utilises various frame depths to achieve different effects, allowing even 3 dimensional objects to be framed. For instance, a print can be raised from the backing to create the illusion that the image is suspended within the frame. Top

Gilding

Framed by ORMS are expert gilders whose passion lies in turning each frame into a piece of art that perfectly complements the content of the frame. Only pure gold and silver leaf is used in this process. Top

Block-mounting

Framed by ORMS is one of a few framers still offering the block-mounting procedure. This done on a 25mm frame, and is the perfect cost-effective framing option. Top

Canvas Stretching (23mm and 45mm)

We offer an array of different frame options, including the following materials:
1. Exotic Wood
2. Aluminium
3. Synthetic Mouldings
4. Custom Finishes on Wood. Top

Cold Mounting

The cold mounting process gets its name from the lack of heat in the adhesion process. This decreases the risk of damaging valuable prints during the mounting. We are able to cold-mount onto Triplex, ABS, Dibond and Aluminium. Top
